The third in the series, this original linocut print 'Poppies at Charleston' is inspired by the beautiful garden at Charleston Farmhouse, the Sussex home of the Bloomsbury group. It's printed in bright coral to represent the bold colours of the icelandic poppies that feature, not only outside, but all around the inside of their home. Poppies were a favourite motif of the painters Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, and I've tried to represent the loveliness of a tangle of poppies here, growing alongside the wild ox eye daisies.
This print comes signed and unframed and will comfortably fit any standard A3 frame. (30cm x 40cm)
Printed on Fabriano 120gsm paper.
It is a hand printed original linocut, unique in its character, and so there may be slight differences to this image which serve to add to its individuality as an artwork.
